Standard Procedure for Conducting Driving Tests

Condition of Vehicle

Vehicles in all categories should be in roadworthy condition and should be representative of their category. An applicant, who arrives at the test centre to inform the tester that their intended test vehicle has broken down, or is not roadworthy, should be advised to re-apply, i. e., a note or invoice from a garage will not secure a further (free) appointment. Tests should not be conducted with tricycle or quadricycle 'ATV' type vehicles - (disabled candidates only). Tests should not be conducted where a category 'B' vehicle is fitted with an emergency spare tyre that is limited to less than 100 K.P.H.
