In Ireland, since the 25th April 2001 a Driving Theory Test must be undertaken (and passed !) before a person can obtain their 1st learner driver permit.
The test is conducted on a computer monitor where 40 multi-choice questions are selected at random from a bank of over 1250. 35 questions must be answered correctly to achieve a pass.

I requested permission from the Dept of Environment, (Now Dept of Transport) to use the question bank from the theory test book and CD. Despite numerous requests, by mail and email all communications were ignored. Contacted Ballymote Co. Sligo TD Mr John Perry..

Therefore any website which claims to have the Official Theory Test Questions online is in beach of copyright laws. Either that, or they do not have the correct questions.
